Strengthen your eye sight and relax your eyes. Anybody sitting in front of a computer or a TV for long hours can benefit immensely from practicing these Yoga eye exercises daily. You can do them sitting on a chair or on the floor, or in a standing position. Eye exercises also help to balance the brain hemispheres and harmonize the mind. I want to start doing yoga, and I was wondering what are the best yoga videos/dvds and books for beginners.
Although Ganesha’s facial deformity might cause him to be shunned by other cultures, the Hindus believe that his is a gift from God and revere him. It was our special privilege to get to know Ganisha and his fellow Nagas. We sat under the shade of a banyan tree at their camp site and took chai with them on many occasions. Those lazy afternoons will long remain as some of our most cherished moments of the Kumbh Mela 2010. Ganesha is a very special holy man of the Naga Indian tribe. Nagas are from an ancient warrior caste of naked spiritual men who live a life primarily unto themselves. The Maha Kumbh Mela festival (the largest religious congregation on earth) is held four times every 12 years and is one of those occasions when the Nagas deign to walk among their fellow Indians. Dressed only is white ash powder and an occasional loin cloth, thousands of Nagas, along with Sadhus, Babas, Yogas, and Fakirs, dip in the holy waters of the Ganges River along with other devout Hindus. Over the three months of the festival tens of millions of Hindu pilgrims attend the Kumbh . In 2001 the Kumbh in Allahabad attracted 100 million celebrants, equivalent to a third of the population of America! This clip is almost identical to my other one of Ganesha except it is cropped and a bit shorter. My gf is a cutter, she’s been trying to stop for the longest time and recently she’s been doing a great job. I made her a bracelet out of band aids to help cover up the scars on her arm and i thought it was a nice lil metaphor. However after a few weeks she had to cut it off bc it gave her a rash lol. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to go about creating a band aid bracelet?

You can download the mp3 of this mantra here: www.boostindependentmusic.com In this video I am chanting this mantra using the Tibetan pronunciation and arrangement as presented by Khenpo Pema Chopel Rinpoche. “TAYATA OM BEKANDZEH BEKANDZEH MAHA-BEKANDZEH RADZA SAMUNGATEH. SOHA.” The Sanskrit version of this mantra is “TAYATA OM BHAISHAYE BHAISHAYE MAHA-BHAISHAYE RAJA SAMUDGATE. SVAHA.” This mantra translates to: “May all beings benefit from the sublime love and power of Medicine Buddha.” In ancient teachings, it is said that merely seeing an image of Medicine Buddha or hearing his name is extremely therapeutic and beneficial for healing. His name in various Asian languages are Bhaisajyaguru in Sanskrit, Sangye Menla in Tibetan, Yaoshi-fo in Chinese, and Yakushi in Japanese. Buddhists consider the Medicine Buddha Empowerment the most powerful blessing for healing, dispelling sickness, and awakening the innate healing wisdom within every human being. Here is an explanation of the mantra’s individual words to help you with your directing your focus during meditation or chanting. TAYATA OM: an invitation for Universal energy to enter into the mantra and to imbue each syllable with healing light and energy BEKANDZEH BEKANDZEH: Do away with the pain of illness MAHA-BEKANDZEH: Do away with the darkness of spiritual ignorance RADZA: Oh Great King SAMUNGATEH: Compels this prayer to be carried to the greatest heights SOHA: “I offer this prayer and now relinquish it” Svaha (Soha) is …
